I think there are multiple accounts of SC fans fricking with and/or trying to steal CUs Howards Rock. Which has led them to have some big arse casing around it for the most part. And CU ROTC cadets guard it 24 hours before the SC-CU game.
SC-CU students in the early 20th century almost literally attacked each other. CU cadets vs SC students barricaded with their own personal arms almost traded gun fire.
Not really an attack on tradition but one season (lonnggg ago) some of our students got uniforms from a local high school that looked like Clemsons, ran onto the field pregame of the SC-CU that year. Clemson fans started cheering, band started playing. Our students started "warming-up" by pretty much trying to look like retards trying to play football. Clemson fans got pissed, some rushed the field.
