That is correct. That is why recruiting is very important. What is also important is the next step, which is developing that talent and producing results on the field. That is where Dan Mullen comes in. Say what you will about recruiting, but I'm comfortable as long as he is coaching State.

ok. But you do realize that certain players have a ceiling that they cannot break, right? And you do realize that better players typically have a higher ceiling, right?


Relying on a recruits to be "coached up" usually ends in disappointment. All you're doing is making excuses and HOPING that Mullen can coach up his shortcomings in recruiting.
