This is the thing with Auburn fans. HAR HAR THE BEAR'S DEAD. Well, first of all, of course he's dead. Dude was hella old. Then he died. If he hadn't died back then, he surely would have died at some point between then and now.
Second of all, do you know who else is dead? Shug Jordan. The difference is that nobody gave a shite about that dude while he was alive, and nobody cares about him now that he's dead. He's a nobody. Your greatest coach ever is a complete nobody. I don't have the first clue who "Hare" is either. And please, don't tell me, because I simply don't care.
And to answer your question: no, Coach Bryant didn't cheat. There you go.

Ease up on the Shug Jordan crap! Coach Jordan was a very good man and did a great deal of good in the lives of countless other young men from the state of Alabama.
I will give you one such example. Ever heard the name John Croyle? How about his son Brodie? Do you know what John did with his life instead of going to play pro football even tho he was an all-american from The U of A? Big Oak Boy's Ranch was started by John with a gift from BOTH Coach Bryant and Shug Jordan.
Show a little class! Do not screw with the reputation of a good man just because you don't have the sense or the class to know who you are talking about before you launch into some BS at his expense.

You should read up on the man. And realize that there is more to life than coaching sports.
