Cam Newton is one of those players that makes everyone around him better. There's no doubt about that.

Don't forget Onterrio Mccalebb and Lutzenkirchen.
Onterrio Mccalebb was leading the nation in YPC by a full yard last week and Lutzenkirchen has emerged as a very good redzone threat.

Auburn has a lot more offense than just Newton. We'd be running a completely different offense if we had Trotter and the offense would still be very solid, obviously not as good as it is now but the drop off wouldn't be as huge as people seem to think.
It would be a pretty big dropoff. Most Auburn fans argue otherwise, but I think you're considering Newton's stats alone, which are considerably more impressive than what Trotter would be able to produce.
You also have to consider, though, that Cam Newton is such a threat that he makes everyone on the offense better. Players like Dyer and McCaleb, for instance, would still be good, but they're that much better because defenses are using all of their resources to stop Cam. Defenses consistently have to spy Cam to minimize his running threat; if Trotter were playing, it would literally be like the defense added another player, since he wouldn't be the run threat that Newton is.
Newton's contributions go much further than his stats.

Was that a 3 star player that caught the pass in your link?

Auburn Rivals Rankings
If AU had lsu or bama's receivers chizik doesn't approve the 4th and 3 pass. With Darvin Adams he does.
Chizik didn't approve anything on that 4th & 3. He wanted to punt and Malzahn told him "We're going for it". Chizik bowed down to Malzahn when it mattered most, much like the rest of the season. After the Gus Bus leaves look for a return to those 5-19 days and celebrating wins over Northwestern.
