He was actually 3rd with a passer rating of 163.9. He was behind Rudy Carpenter and Brian Brohm and one point ahead of Troy Smith. His first year as a starter (2004) he ranked 52nd, behind about 20 other dual threat QBs. Important to factor that in since this is Cam's first year as a starter.
Cam is currently 2nd - possibly 1st when today's results get factored in - with a rating around 188. Not positive, but I don't think an NCAA QB has ever finished with a passer rating that high.
