I agree he has a ridiculous amount of confidence in his players, almost to a fault at times.
He knows the opposition knows what hes gonna run, but he does it anyway because he thinks "my guys are better".
Thats where a lot of his play calls piss fans off; but like you said it wins us big games sometimes as well.
He did a good job this game, I still dont think hes amazing but dude has gigantic testicles (no homo).

For example, the fake punt. I bet Saban was like, surely he's not going to do it again here. Logic tells you that it's too obvious, but Les's lack of logic worked.
