What is with the East? Has there ever been a time that whole side

No because UT ruled it for a long time then Florida took over. They have traditionally been 1 or 2 deep in the East while the West was closer bunched together.

I don't ever remember seeing the East in this bad of shape. The way things are going, I think UGA might still wind up winning the east this year.

The late 90s early 00s West were not very good. Teams were regularly going to Atlanta with 3 conference losses. The East though does look to be even worse than that this year which is amazing. We may see a 4-4 team in the SECCG.
