Hate to say it but, Ridley>Lattimore

Is this even a question? Give Ridley a decent passing game and he'd be in the conversation with Ingram; he's that good. It's a shame his play has been overshadowed by the complete ineptness of the rest of the offense.

Even though we are 4 games in, no one really knows how good USC's defense is against the run. Furman and Southern Miss run Texas Tech style passing offenses -- and fell behind early -- so they hardly tried to pass. Cam Newton ran all over us, but that was mostly on bad reads by our defense on the read option -- which is a play Bama rarely runs.

The only straight up running attack we faced was UGA. They got stuffed -- but yeah, maybe UGA's offensive line is not as good as everyone thought it was.

I expect our D-line to do a pretty good job holding down Ingram and Richardson -- certainly much better than 2009. Having Travian Richardson back at DT is huge. On the other hand, our linebackers are a weak spot, and we need a better scheme in the secondary where missed assignments and soft 3-deep zones have been a problem. And as good as Richardson and Ajiboye are, we have little quality depth behind them. Bama can wear them down if our offense can't stay on the field.

On Lattimore rushing for a 100+ -- I dunno. Auburn sold out on the run and Nick Fairly blew up our interior line. This opened up the passing game. Garcia, Jeffery and Gurley had a big day.

Alabama is not going to sell out against the run. They will make us prove we can run block. In passing situations they will bring pressure, as Garcia is prone to giving up sacks -- scrambling and fumbling.

We have hope because we have a balanced offense. The catch is Bama is probably good enough to stop the run without selling out as Auburn did. That means they can try to protect their secondary which seems to be their only vulnerability.
