Never said he wasn't. But the reasons you're giving don't add up. He was hired at Arkansas because of the high schoolers he would bring with him, correct?

That and the Hog fans were sick and tired of Houston Nutt getting all conservative all the time and the fanbase wanted change. They wanted to open things up and score more. Yeah, I remember Palmer very well. Look, I agree with you, Malzahn was not totally responsible for the Hogs success that year. I only stated that wherever that guy has coached, at any level, be it at a small high school, big high school, mid level D-1 ball, or the Hogs or Auburn, his teams that he has coached on offense have always moved the chains. You mentioned Google. If you Google the before and after offensive stats on the teams he has coached at it is pretty impressive. Anywhere that man has coached their offenses have made improvement and did it in a hurry.

His being hired at Arkansas wasnt based solely on his merits. And Tulsa, in my mind, doesnt mean a whole lot. But if Malzahn has a good offense at AU for a few years, then no one will question his capabilities.
