Rivals Recruiting Rankings:

2002
Auburn #6
Alabama # 31

2003
Auburn #11
Alabama #49

2004
Auburn #21
Alabama #15

2005
Auburn #13
Alabama #18

2006
Auburn #10
Alabama #11

Nice try though.

Those numbers are shite though, very skewed with resigns for Auburn and lots of lost players. Tuberville did a very poor job of signing top players that could qualify and most of those solid classes for Auburn, the top 2 or 3 players didn't qualify each year.

I saw a stat and I will look for it again, it was basically showing the SEC schools with their average national recruiting ranking over the last year compared to the percentage of players that qualified and stayed for two years. I think Florida was number 1 in the SEC getting around 90% of signees enrolled and Auburn was ridiculously low around 60% or something. I will look for it again and post if I find it.

Recruiting rankings are based on gross number of recruits and not based on fill needs. If I sign 5 five star RBs but only sign two star OL then my rankings will be high but my team will shitty.

We resigned Mike Ford, Fanney and Stover at least twice. Those inflate our rankings without the benefit of the talent.

To even compare Shula's classes with Saban's is just silly.
