re: Why is the SEC the most Powerful and getting more Powerful?

People in the Southeast care the most about college football. NFL is an afterthought for many people here, and there are much less private schools down here than there are up north. This leads to a large majority of people going to the big public schools which makes for great rivalries.

Also, the South being more spread out College Football gives us a chance to connect with friends who are at other schools.
