Tom Osborne

One of the worst big game coaches ever before he landed Tommie Frazier. Beat up on the Big Eight for many years which was incredibly subpar outside of Switzer's Oklahoma teams. Switzer owned him with a 12-5 record against Osbourne's Nebraska teams. Osborne also got reamed by the Florida teams in every bowl game he coached against them until Tommie Frazier showed up. Now, his mid '90s Nebraska teams were absolutely incredible but they were filled with so many criminals that they make Urban Meyer's Florida teams look like choirboys. Was Osborne a great coach? Absolutely. Is he one of the top five coaches ever? Absolutely not. Seriously, how can anybody rank Osborne over Switzer? Again, Switzer had a 12-5 record against Osborne. Has the same number of championships as Osborne. He ran a dirty program but Osborne ran a pretty loose ship as well. Switzer was a better coach than Osborne period.
