This game isn't getting the same hype as it normally would, with both teams potentially entering the season in the top 15, because UF plays a seemingly bigger game @ Alabama the week before.

This game though, will be make or break for both teams.

In the tough Western Division, 1 SEC loss will be huge blow to LSU's chances to unseat Alabama as the reigning division champ.

On the flip side of that, Florida could be potentially staring 2 straight SEC west losses right in the face, and that would pretty much mean they have no room for error in the SEC east race.

The last two trips for Miles to Gainesville were not pretty:

2006: 23-10 (LSU ended 11-2)
2008: 51-21 (LSU ended 8-5)

Who comes out of this game alive?

I've been practicing turning over port-a-potties and throwing Jack Daniels bottles.

Haha thanks man! I love SEC football and love my Tigers. But I keep it in perspective. If I put all of my happiness into LSU football, chances are, I will suffer severe grief that outways any joy that comes from the game a good bit. That said...I hope we reverse the score from our last trip down there...that was one of the most miserable road trips I've ever made

I think Florida is going to be extremely strong against the run in 2010, so I think that they will effectively neutralize the supposed strongest aspect of LSU's offense.

This will force Jordan Jefferson to beat UF, and I don't think he can do that.

Similar to 2006, LSU has a number of extremely talented skill players that could potentially beat UF up in the passing game, but if recent history suggest anything, UF will be a tougher, more physical team than LSU and those skill players will be mostly neutralized.

With still so much unknown about both teams, especially with Florida waiting for many of their best 2010 prospects to hit campus, it's hard to make a concrete prediction. I think the game will be pretty close, especially with UF having to play right after being on the road @ Alabama, but I think UF pulls ahead in the 2nd half and LSU can never catch up.

Florida 31
LSU 21

home team usually holds serve

only advantage LSU might have would be a let down after the Alabama game

lee threw two picks against florida in 2008... including one spikes ran back for 6

Dunno about JJ but JL's superpower was throwing pick 6s the last time he was a starter

1 loss really isn't the end of our chances. it just makes it an up hill battle but dropping one to a eastern team really doesnt mean shite.

It will be my first trip to the swamp for a game as well. I don't see us winning the game either. I just hope for a good game and trip. I will be pleasantly surprised if we come out of there with the win.
