Mississippi State Bulldog Jarvis Varnado rejects Georgia Bulldog Dustin Ware's shot late in a comeback victory over Georgia. Block number 490; 45 shy of the existing record of 535 which he would eventually break.

It's sad that all MSU athletics and fans have to get excited about these days are shot blocks

Hell yeah!
one of the tv broadcast commentators (not sure who it was) during a game last week said Mississippi State was the only team in the West that could compete with the SEC East

Why do all the announcers pronounce his last name like Va-nar-do instead of Var-na-do?

it is pronounced varnardo but spelled varnado
