I could get to the French Quarter from Bluebonnet in BR right at an hour goin 75-80 mph the whole way. Baton Rouge is not that far off. Made the trip quite a few times. Well worth the trip.
And NOLA deserves the hype it gets, unless you are socially retarded.

"The 19-year-old Brown is accused of striking a woman in the face with an open hand as she tried to get people to leave a party at a Gainesville apartment complex. When another woman tried to intervene, Brown allegedly slapped her arm away and caused several scratches. Neither woman required medical treatment."
