I'm not going to lie. I want to know what went down. Something MAJOR had to have happened to get him to go from talking about how it's been his dream to wear Crimson and how it would hurt him if he couldn't... lifelong Bama fan... dreamed of running through that tunnel at BDS, etc... to literally THIRTY MINUTES LATER proclaiming yourself to be an Auburn tiger and claim that you're going to win the SEC in the next 4 years.

When did it suddenly become cool to go Auburn?

Hell his parents were wearing Alabama's colors at the announcement.

AU is as dirty as coal.

Spencer Region... huge OL recruit in Cullman, AL who admittedly grew up a "huge Bama fan" and dreamed of playing for Alabama. Committed to Alabama mid-week... scheduled a press conference, and then changed his mind and switched to Auburn literally 30 minutes before he went up to the podium to announce his choice.

not everyone wants to jump aboard the Bama bandwagon just because they won the MNC last year. some people want to take down whoever's on top.

or maybe auburn just has a great recruiting staff? signing days a year away anyway, plenty of time for him to become uncomfortable with his decision.

Even a person who grew up a die-hard fan of the team that's on top and dreamed of playing for that team... and didn't change his mind until 30 minutes before the presser? It just doesn't add up. At all.

Maybe he didn't have a commitable offer.

I don't see how we're losing recruits to a guy who's below .500 as a head coach, to a guy that's five years removed from being a high school coach, and a forty year old man who wears a backwards baseball cap and waves a towel around his head.

According to all sources "close" to the situation, he had a committable offer, and Saban had actually "okayed" the commitment.

I think Bama fans are mad about how it went down not just because they lost a recruit...

From the look on his face, I bet he was thinking, "you are no longer any son of mine."
