I don't think anything shady went down, I'm just angry at how the kid handled it. The kid obviously has no integrity.
Easy now. I don't think it has anything to do with his integrity. Saban made him mad or hurt his feelings or whatever. It turned him off, so be it. It isn't hard for me to believe that Saban rubbed someone the wrong way. It just so happens that he rubbed a life-long Bama fan the wrong way.

For some reason, he felt disrespected. It isn't surprising to me in the least. I've noticed in the past that if a lesser talented player wants to commit to Saban, he likes to tell them to cut off their recruitment. If it was a 5 star lock, there used to be no way Saban would have told him that or at least he hasn't done that in the past. I guess he could be implementing some new rule this year that if a player (no matter what their talent level) wants to commit, that means he isn't going anywhere else. I guess it could be a reaction to the Keenan Allen, Sanders and Juwan James thing.

I really hope he learns from this SR fiasco that you can't bully recruits into not taking their other trips. You just have to take the risk and go ahead and take their commitment and keep showing the love. Sometimes you keep'em, sometimes you lose them. No big deal either way.

most level headed gump on here... Good assessment of the situation. It wasn't some kind of conspiracy, he didn't get his offer pulled... something happened on UA's side of things that turned him off. As to what that was (and whether he'll still be recruited) no one knows right now except the UA coaches and Region's family.
