First of all, I'm a Vol. That means I've hated Bammer all my life, but I have to say Anthony Grant will turn Bamma bball around. I feel the need to start a post offering mad respect for Anthony Grant. And I can only hope that Dooley shows the same amount of improvement that Grant has done for Bama bball. You heard it here first, give Bama 3 years and they will be the kings of SEC west basketball.

Easy boy...Trent's already got a year head start on Grant on building for the future. Brady had a team full of seniors given over to the Black Snapper last year, and he won the SEC right off the bat. He pulled in a top 15 class this year in recruiting. I think it will be a nice Bama/LSU battle in the future for the West title.

Not one bit sold on Trent...He's been mediocre everywhere he has coached, and there is no reason to think he won't be the same at LSU

Besides - Bama already destroyed LSU this year with about the same talent level. Trent will do fine at LSU if you want an NCAA tournament bid every other year, but I seriously believe Grant has Bama on the right path.

Ok, he was mediocre last year? Is that what you are sayin? When ya boy Pearl was supposed to win the SEC last year, and Trent got LSU the SEC title?

What does that make Pearl?

Got Nevada to the big dance, and got Stanford to the Sweet 16?

I would take that right now. If Brady can take LSU to the FF, then I have no doubt Trent could do it again if he has the same type of talent given to him.

MAYBE starting talent. You do know Trent has had to play a walkon this year?

what he did at nevada was far from mediocre. stanford may not have been as good as some of montgomery's teams but they were far from bad. look at them now. he's a good coach, def. happy that he's at LSU. wouldn't have minded grant or sean miller either.

I think it will take him 3 to 4 years to show what he can do and hopefully the fans will support him and the bball team during those times.

Considering he took over a team that went 8-18 the year before at freaking Nevada, and eventually got to the Sweet 16, again, at Nevada, I'd say that he was a little better than mediocre. He made the tourny 3/4 years at Stanford including the Sweet 16. He won the SEC in his first year at LSU, won a tourny game and played UNC closer than any other team in the tourny. Not exactly mediocre.

Pearl took over a team that finished last place in the SEC, and took them to a number 2 seed in the tournament the next year. Thats a good coach. Trent hasn't proven shite yet. Mediocre is the way I see him until he proves otherwise.

Pearl = best coach in the SEC

Anthony Grant is really good, Calipari isn't a great coach he is a great recuiter.

Then you are a dumbass. Did Pearl inherit this last place-team last year? NO. Pearl had already been building, and had his team poised to win the SEC Title. In fact, almost all the media members picked them to win the SEC last year?

Did they? Go look at what T. Johnson inherited the year before he got to LSU. Our record was shitty, and the very next year we won the SEC over your PR fanboy Pearl. But it's ok. I have the same opinion about Pearl, except Johnson is not as overrated.

He didn't resign either. He won 25 games and went to the Sweet 16 before LSU hired him because he was underpaid. Where the frick are you getting this stuff?
