For the 2007 signing class there were 375 HS Sr's from Texas that signed to a D-1 school. Texas (and OU) can't get them all nor do they get 1-50 on the Texas 100. When you think about this, it makes what Aggie does on a consistent basis mind-boggling. How the "second" football program in the state can under-perform like they do just makes one scratch your head. And until Aggie figures it out (or gets female cheerleaders, whichever comes first), Texas will always dominate the state.
This just proves he is an elite coach. You see teams from talent rich states (Florida State, UCLA, Texas A&M) and Mack has produced on consistent basis proves he can coach. It is not just the players especially winning 10+ games for as many consecutive years as he has.

Because of some thread, I had to think who I'd want if Nick Saban left. The first guy I thought of was Mack Brown. But I'd want him a little younger so he wouldn't immediately retire. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

I too think ATM is the UCLA of college football. Good comparison. In Florida at least the Big 3 have all won a BCSCG.
Honestly, having Aggie be Aggie helps out a great number of schools. Us to a low extent but LSU to a GREAT extent. I just don't get it.
Sorry to derail.
