You are looking at things in terms of personality traits when there is nothing to look at. He is already at the end of the road and there is nowhere else to go that would provide him with more. Saban will finish is coaching career at Alabama as the most recognizable current coach in college football easily and that will fullfil his enormous ego.

Plus I doubt he could recruit possibly 3 straight #1 classes at Penn State. He is going to have some incredibly talented teams at Alabama in the coming years.

There is no end of the road in terms of building/re-building... Many would say Nebraska, Notre Dame, and Michigan would be the end of the road as far as tradition goes.. UA isn't the end all in college football, and just because you have it great doesn't mean you're happy- Just look at Tiger Woods
