Saban is the face of the winningest program in the history of college football and the Flaghip School of the college games most powerful and recognizable conference.

He went to Miami to try being a head coach it did'nt work for him so he quit Left a 5Mil a year job for 4Mil so money is'nt an issue.
So I take it you have no doubt that he didn't leave on his own? I promise you one thing, it took everything he had to leave Miami considering he didn't accomplish anything while he was there..

like I haven't thought about the situation.
If you have thought about the situation being the rough equivilent of following Coach Bryant, and still felt like Saban will go to Penn State..then yeah, our conversation is over.

This cover was not made by mistake. Not many other jobs that can get you this title.

I never stated he would go to Penn State per se, I just feel he won't be at UA until he retires.

Considering Alabama doesn't have any pro teams, state support is thrown to the college teams. So he came into the job with a lot of clout surrounding him already. But yes I do believe if he went to Notre Dame he could have the same success, or Penn State, or Michigan, etc. If you don't believe that you don't believe he is one of the best ever.

So, in your knowledgeable and vast opinion, what fair team will he be bequeathing his coaching prowess upon?

Alabama has won more championships and games than any of those teams. Like I said already he is at the top of the food chain. It is not a popular thing to say on TD but it is a simple fact.

There are many with a rich tradition that could use a lift: Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan, maybe USC in a few years... I'm not trying to debate on one school, I'm only saying Saban will move on to another challenge..

Alabama was a has been until Saban came along.. And as far as Alabama having more championships, well that's up for debate.. But the point is most of the programs I listed are has beens, and long to return to their previous dominance..

Notre Dame
Literally just hired a coach 2 weeks ago..not going to happen.

Ohio State
Unless Tressel punches a player ala Woody Hayes, he will be there for 6-9 more years.

Michigan
When RichRod is gone, they will bring back in a Michigan Man.

USC
Not even worth the time to dispute.

Do yourself a favor. Stop trying to get Saban away from UA.

One of the reasons Saban has been so successful at Alabama is that he accepted with his VERY strict terms of complete control. It took Alabama to hit rock bottom for the egos of the administration to give such control, and there was still an internal struggle the first year. This happens with any big or storied program, and there aren't many who are willing to give away such control. Notre Dame hasn't been able to do it. I doubt Penn State will immediately after Joe Pa. Any school he goes to after Alabama will be one where he gets to call the shots.

If it's any consolation, I'm hoping too.
