School pride.
Both of my parents graduated from Arkansas in the 60s. My dad took me to ballgames since I was 3. It never occurred to me to go to college anywhere else. Fayetteville and the University of Arkansas was college to me. I applied to a few other in state schools as well as OU and Texas just to see what kind of scholarships I might get offered, but I always planned on going to Arkansas.
As I've grown older, I see what the Razorbacks mean to this state and to people who didn't go to school in Fayetteville, so it transitions somewhat to "state pride". But I'm still proud to be a graduate, proud to show people my name on senior walk, and proud to sing the alma mater and fight song.
