The reason I was glad to see Om get embarassed today...

Even though I like OM do you guys remember last year with under a minute left in the first half Nutt went for a deep ball already up 24 nothing in a game it was obvious Msu couldn't move the ball?
I rememeber looking at my dad and saying "Nutt needs to not do stuff like that it will come back to haunt him" It came back to haunt him today. He had won 10 straight against MSU previously. I think he probabaly showed Gus Malzhan some disrespect when he was an assistant back in 06. Malzhan slapped him around like a little bitch this year too. I guess that's karma for ya.

We were giving our backups some valuable reps in a conference game. Nothing wrong with that.

I hate Hootie as much as anyone BUT you do not stop trying to score in the 1st half. You might show mercy in the 2nd half but never in the 1st half!

I can understand throwing it a little bit but going for a deep ball when you are up 24 yet totally shutting down the other offense is where, I'm not sure you have to do that. I can understand it but against a lifeless team if you do it understand karma's a bitch

IT'S THE 1ST HALF.
Not a single coach in America is gonna be upset with an opposing team trying to score more points in the 1st half!
It is understood among coaches you build as big of a lead as possible to ensure nothing crazy happens and you get beat. The 2nd half is when coaches expect any mercy to be shown.
