There is a rumor going around that Chizik is going to pull out some special uniform for the Iron Bowl, specifically either orange or black jerseys. Are any of you hearing this as well?

going old school and wearing the same unis they did in the punt bama punt game. that would be better than black or orange IMO

live here, go to school here and i haven't heard anything about it. also, just doesn't seem like the chizik/auburn way

The orange jersey rumor comes up on Auburn boards every week and it never turns out to be true.
IMO, our uniforms look good as they are. Don't mess with them.

I've only heard that rumor from Bama fans, so I don't put much stock in it.
As the MSU game showed, any edge you get from a gimmick like that goes only as far as your talent will take you.
Everyone remembers when Notre Dame broke out the green jerseys three decades ago against USC and thinks that's what helped them win.
Never mind the fact that they had Joe Montana as their QB. . .it was the jerseys that did it. . .right?

any team can wear white at home as far as i know. just have to submit it to the league i think.

The 1972 AU unis aren't much different from the current model, save for the more modern-shaped helmets.

Chizik has already come out once this year and said we're not doing any kind of uniform b.s.
