So I have to be in Atlanta Sunday night. So I figured I'd stop in Tuscaloosa for a bite to eat with the girlfriend on Saturday, watch the game on then go ahead and get to Atlanta a day early.

Any recommendations on somewhere to go? It doesn't have to be in Tuscaloosa but I was maybe going to check out the campus since I've never been.

Preferably a decent place to eat where i can get a decent steak or something and a good atmosphere to watch the game in?

P.S... I'd rather avoid hostile crowds being with the GF and all... and plus I think hostility is laaaame.

try the downtown area, depalmas is a really good restaurant although not sure if they have steaks. Several bars in the area if you want to watch the game afterwards and you can always find a parking spot in the area. And it is a long walk but doable if you want to walk towards the stadium for pregame festivities.

Cypress Inn is a restaurant on the other side of the Black Warrior River from the UA campus. It's directly on the river which is usually a great view this time of year.

Nicks in the Stixs. They have the best filet in town, and their drink the "Nickadeamus" will lay you flat out.

LINK

Also, don't get your underwear in a bunch about the name. The place has been around since the '30s.
