"Pugh’s pathetic move did nothing to affect the outcome of the game Saturday night. Auburn would have won, anyway. After missing some time, Brown did re-enter the game, so he’s OK … to an extent, though the knees are an ongoing issue.
That’s not the point. The point is that Kelly did the right thing suspending Blount for a one-time national black eye. It would be nice to see Auburn coach Gene Chizik or the SEC office to do the same to Pugh. At the very least, Pugh deserves a one-game suspension. I believe for every time a repeat offender gets called for a chop block — a block that could potentially end someone’s career — he should sit a game. And Pugh is the dirtiest offensive lineman in the country."
