My thoughts are that it was the first game of the year. I know thats not really an excuse, but we obviously played poorly. I dont expect us to play like that again this year, but if we do (especially against an SEC team) we'll find ourselves in a tight spot. Snead had a rough start and hopefully he wont play that poorly again. He was forcing to many passes the first 3 quarters. Although we still missed tons of tackles, I think our D will still be good this year. We had bright spots but we also had dark spots. I dont accept having the flu as being an excuse because when youre on the field your expected to perform. Even though it was a kind of tight game until the last 10 minutes or so, I still think we'll have a good season. Hopefully when we open our offense up more we'll get back on track. Props to Memphis though they did a good job of stopping our offense and getting the yards they did on offense. Still I expect us to have a good season (and not just by Ole Miss standards). I still think we'll compete in the West although after watching Bama it'll be tough. Thats just my take on it though, I could be totally wrong though. go SEC! ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)

I think it is a little early to call Ole Miss underrated because they held Memphis to 150 yards passing. That QB was horrible.
