I think he'll win some ball games at UT. Will he do well enough to unseat Florida in the East? Probably not, but honestly what coach could right now?

That's the truth. Kiffin is coming in at the right time. He will get roughed up this season, but after Tebow leaves the East is open for a shift. Could be UGA's turn next, but we will see.

Why? Programs with more tradition and money (or as much) than UT have crashed and burned for a good long period.

Bama, UGA, FSU, Miami, ND, Southern Cal, LSU, AU etc...all had their periods of suckitude. UT is gonna get theirs...

+1.

shite, look at the late 80's and early 90's for LSU. And 1998 and 99. All awful for us. Southern Cal was down then as well. ND has been going through that for some time, and FSU and Miami are down right now.

Bama had their issues this decade.

Everyone gets a turn. It blows, but most big time programs eventually recover.

I just don't see Kiffin being that guy. UT, IMO, royally fricked up by not throwing the kitchen sink at Brian Kelly.
