And, for what it's worth, you guys didn't leave a very favorable impression on the folks from Lubbock at the Cotton Bowl last year. I had several co-workers who are Tech fans complain about what huge assholes the Ole Miss fans were.

Can't argue about that at all. Set records at the "OM" hotel bar for alcohol consumption for the entire weekend of the game and most if not all of our fans were probably sporting some extra toot.

Ironically, half way through the season, before the cotton bowl was even in the picture, I had decided that I wanted Tech to run the table and teach the big boys (UT, USC, LSU, UF) a lesson. I had sided with them. The week that it became apparent that there MIGHT be a UM/TT matchup in the CB, they directed their feelings of BCS shunning towards us. And for 6 weeks or more, every word out of their mouths (from their players, coaches, fans etc) consisted of disrespect and animosity towards us for "bringing them down" to the lowly cotton bowl. We had nothing to do with it. We were selected just like them but they chose to throw attitude around. You can't ignore the fact that they had spent 6 weeks whipping our fans, coaches and players into a frenzy. Once the domination commenced, they should have known it would come back to bite them in the arse.
