Iron Bowl moved to Friday for next two years

This years game will be the Friday after Thanksgiving, the 27th, at 1:30 on CBS. Glad I have a job where I can take off whenever I want.

I believe that does mean the LSU-Arkansas game has swapped places with the Iron Bowl.

Interesting. I think a lot of people will be pissed. I am not sure how I feel about the MOST important day of the YEAR being on Friday now. Have to see.

Most people are off on that Friday already are they not? If not, they should go ahead and make it a state holiday because there is no way anybody in this state is getting anything done on that day.

Are you serious? That game is 100x more important than thanksgiving or eating a lot. It just means the players will have to feast a day or two later.

good luck with the Friday game, i'm glad we are moving back to saturday. i think it would work better on friday if you played in primetime though.

I liked it much better when the game was played the weekend before Thanksgiving. But if we have to play on Thanksgiving weekend, I guess it doesnt matter much whether we play on Friday or Saturday. I also think it will add more exposure as the poster stated above.

What really sucks about this is that is Black Friday. When like everyone woman known to man gets up early to go shopping to get in on all the Christmas specials. So, little household parties are gonna suck because of this cause the women won't have time to go shopping and then come back and cook food for the parties.

The long distance travelers will have to leave Thanksgiving day and then you have to get up early Friday morning. It's much tougher than Saturday night...you'll see

Of course they'll be leftover turkey and dressing, but........ just not right for football.
On a plus side, maybe tickets will be cheaper cause all the women won't make it to the game???
