Tempting, not many expectations at Georgia

More money + no Griffin = gone if he's smart. Plus, GA > OK as far as living.

Capel is too smart and good to chase the money. He wants to win and the OU Hoops platform and Big-12 stage, are so far superior to UGA, it isn't even an option, regardless of money. Unless the Capel and OU AD thing is still an issue? But this year's winning seems to cure plenty of ills, and besides Texas and Kansas, OU can easily hold down 3rd or better most Big-12 seasons. Plus, Capel landed a big-time recruit last week, one that wants to slide into one of his departing stars slots, to go with his talented returnees.
UGA is a Football school regardless of 1983 Final Four. Ga Tech and the ACC are where most of Atlanta and Georgia's best ballers go should they stay in state. Toss in being in the SEC East with Fla, Ky, a rising Tenn, a consistent Vandy program, and now a rising Horn-led USC in a large new palace full of fans. That makes the UGA job and their relatively puny football-school arena located a long drive away from Atlanta in Athens, third or fourth fiddle in division at best most any year. UGA Hoops is buried!
The Hugh Durham & Dominique Wilkins era, followed by his 1983 Final Four team of Vern Fleming and James Banks, were long ago, and not coming back anytime soon.

would be a terrible move for him

He gains nothing going to UGA, except money. He should stay at at OU until one of the big 3 from back home comes calling(although it may be a while; Duke, UNC, or Wake)

Contrary to what many here have already said, this would be a great move by Capel. Not only will he be losing the Griffins, but metro Atlanta is one of the hottest basketball recruiting grounds in the country.
UGA's proximity to Atlanta is one of the main reasons Bobby Knight was so interested in the Georgia basketball job.
And the money doesn't hurt, either :P
