Standard hot-take Clickbait stuff.

I don’t think there will be one anytime soon. The offense is going to be built around the run, which is nothing new. There are 3-4 RBs who could be targeted out of the backfield. WR targets will be split between 4-5 players and then the TE depth has 4-5. Bowers, McConkey, and Branch were the closest things we had to “feature” players recently. Bowers almost did it but fell short. McConkey did it year 1 in the NFL.

16 game regular season helps with that stat.

Of course. Still. McConkey had all the tools to do it here. My point stands.

Of course he had the tools. You leave out the fact he was competing with bowers, pickens, ad Mitchell, Burton, etc for targets. There are very few receivers starting at UGA that aren't physically capable from a talent standpoint to get 1k.
Other schools would take a ladd and force him the ball nonstop for 1300 yards while their 3rd leading receiver would end up with like 150. We don't do that here.

You made my point too. That target split is why we won’t have a 1000 yard receiver for a while. My opinion.

Other offenses do it despite multiple targets. I think it's the fact we don't leave the starters in and or keep the offense aggressive with a significant lead and that we rotate the WR snaps so much

Thanks.
I hate to be "that guy", but the takes on Branch are dumb.
Branch was the offense. And a lot of our offense was "extension of the run". We took shots downfield with Branch, and they didn't hit. Why throw 30 yards when you can hit him at 6 and watch him run for 24 more.
He didn't say anything of value on Gunner. Hot take. He might even be right. But he didn't back it up with anything. So it is a void take. Empty. Pointless.
