Why? Because then after all the best players inevitably get offered “max cap” by 100 schools. Their boosters come in with a McDonalds bag with an extra $50,000 in it and secure the commit.

Absolutely. Once you have a cap, then we’re right back where we started.

As I said in my last post on the subject, I don't want a cap. I want an end to unlimited transfers. Sign a contract and stick to it. A waiver for a coach being fired or something like a death in the immediate family to move closer to Mom or Dad (not cousin Ricky from Los Angeles) is fine.
