The 4th quarter of the Rose Bowl is usually at night, anyone else notice it's daylight?

They moved kickoff up this year from 5ET to 4ET. I guess this was because the sugar bowl was starting so late and people complained.

I noticed that too. Usually it’s nightfall in the fourth quarter.

I was glad they did that this year. The Sugar Bowl always started stupid late. I mean the Sugar Bowl never ended before midnight. The latest college football games typically start around 7:30 p.m. or 8:00 p.m., the Sugar Bowl hardly ever started before 9:00 p.m.

I know it's not common, but some people actually do have to work tomorrow. No reason to force people to choose between going to bed at a decent hour and watching the Sugar Bowl.

I get that. I still wish it started at its normal time. It's not as scenic without the sunsetting and then the nighttime 4th quarter with those cathedral looking lights shinning down.
