clearly we aren't seen as a top team with our 10th rating....which is fine we lost twice. the general consensus about bama is "meh" we all know they are bama but can't run the ball barely beat auburn. basically not looking like prime Saban Bama....all that is fine and accurate

HOWEVER

OH MY GOD OKLAHOMA WON AT ALABAMA.......there is no doubt this is the reason they are so easily above vandy considering they were destroyed in the red river destroyed like bama was last year to OU that kept them out....

OU win at alabama is being viewed like OMG OMG OMG WON AT BAMA like its the old days

but the actual bama team isn't being treated that way

It’s pretty simple Bama fans …. You are correct you’re not a top tier team .

Florida state has 4 wins or less

OU worse loss is Texas ( after the qb broke his thumb) the second worse loss is Ole Miss….. that’s the story nothing more . The fact that OU has beaten you two straight years means it’s no fluke .
At the time OU beat Bama yes everyone was like OMG OMG Bama is the best team in the country !

Oklahoma/Alabama are separated by head to head. By every metric, Alabama has better wins, but they have the same record and bama lost the head to head. Don’t know any bama fans that take issue being ranked behind Oklahoma. I think it was pretty dumb for bama to initially drop as far as they did after the loss, but no issue being being Oklahoma despite the overall better wins indicating a higher ceiling.

Now why isn’t that same logic applied to ND and Miami?

that's what im saying.....

either prove head to head isn't end all be all and have bama one ahead of OU for making the conference title thus in a weird yet consistent universe you can say what you did with MIAMI/ND but when OU is clearly ahead because of a H2H how can you reverse that with 2 other teams?

That’s what everyone wants to know. Notre Dame is treated by a different standard. But the committee still has a chance to fix the error after Saturday and move Miami back up ahead of ND. Or they should do the best thing for college football and actually include Miami AND Notre Dame and tell the G5 to piss up a rope

I don't think they will do that because they think that you can't change the standings when teams don't play despite that being their job
