I’m out of the loop.
Why in the world is pedo st not begging Dan Mullen to take the job at this point?

Firing James Franklin just to go out and hire Dan Mullen would be among the craziest moves I’ve ever seen.
They’d be better off letting the interim coach for a year and starting the process over again next year, IMO. Either way, they’re facing NCAA sanctions level roster retention difficulty.

At this point Mullen is the best they can do as far as sitting head coach. They really f ed this up.

Rumor is they going after Campbell from Iowa state. Maybe that fell through already I don’t know

Good point.
Past history. He’s a Pennsylvania guy and pedo st was on his wish list at state. Things change. Who knows now. Wouldn’t put it past him.

Yeah, but then you’re stuck with a multi-year contract (and buyout) of a guy who you don’t really want & has a relatively low chance of success.
Crazy spot they’ve gotten themselves into if they don’t already have a guy lined up.

I could see Dan taking his time waiting to see if Miss state opens up. I think he really liked it there. However I really don’t know if that’s something he or Miss state wants. I do think he still has some time before he gets another big boy offer.
