I believe they said they would match any offer. I am guessing he feels he has a more fertile ground of talent at LSU and more high profile opportunity.
LSU gets more recognition in the football world then Ole Miss and would get a nod lets say in a 8-10 ranking with a 2 loss record to make the playoffs vs Ole Miss with a 2 loss most likely would be outside top 10. Reality of it all.
