I definitely have a very different look at Auburn then when I was in school. Same for Tennessee. I don't have that level of dislike that I used to have. Don't get me wrong, they are rivals and always will be.
However, it's a different beast, now. I think it's because:
- Saban made a lot of asses quit.
- I've lived out of state for awhile.
- I'm way older, now.
It isn't like the days where Fat Phil was at the helm of Tennessee, Fear the Thumb at Auburn, etc.

I get that. I'm not as fired up as I used to be, but I still love 'Bama beating AU and UT. Gene Stallings said it best.
“If you don't think that every game isn't big, try losing one.”
I'm in a group chat with my brother ('Bama alum) and a couple of AU fans. If they would have won last night, they'd be riding that one for a while and blowing up the chat with memes, especially since it meant knocking 'Bama out of the playoff. Would have been terrible.
