Why did the ACC add Louisville instead of UConn

feels like UConn fit their footprint better. They've had two 9 win seasons and do better in basketball than most of their teams now.
Seems like decisions like that and going for Cal have doomed them.

Have Cal and Stanford in the Atlantic Coast Conference is just the worst.

Because they were expanding for football. All other sports are irrelevant for expansion.

UConn won the Big East with a trip to the Fiesta Bowl which was a financial disaster for UConn because of very weak ticket sales. The football program at UConn has very weak support.

This…. Half of the schools in the big ten don’t care about football. They are basketball and ice hockey centric and women’s sports. As far as UConn they are always going to be basketball centric. Surprisingly they have a very good baseball program

Football and baseball. Louisville is infinitely better and has more history in those two sports than UConn does. Basketball is great at UConn but that’s it. And it’s not the moneymaker that football is
