Sark is a damn good coach; I have a lot of respect for what he’s done over the course of his career. They’ve underwhelmed this season as a program but it seems like a first year starter in Arch was finally getting it going a bit. Even last night, he didn’t have an awful game.
That said, after watching Sark and Kirby’s press conferences and hearing Sark express bafflement at how the 4Q went as poorly as it did, I’m pretty comfortable to chalking last night’s W up to Kirby and his staff.
He’s a fricking leader, man. He believes in hard work, accountability, believes in his preparation and philosophy, and takes measured risks at the most opportune times. IMO, Sark need look no further than he and his staff getting outworked to explain what happened in that 4Q last night.
And it’s not just Sark. There is a TON of talent in the SEC with parity starting to settle in. Coaching and program philosophy has become far more critical in this era (prob why there’s 73 coaches fired this season). UGA is lucky to have the man.

Kirby single handily manipulated the 4th Q of that game. Once Texas quit the soft coverage, it didn’t look like Georgia could consistently move the ball. Texas was also finding balance on offense. Kirby made decisions on each drive like the game depended on every yard. I thought Georgia just looked more engaged overall. From coaching staff to players. From their mannerisms you could tell it meant a lot to them when they found success.
