Mostly a bogus conspiracy. The lines in the sky are contrails. If you spray shite up that high, who knows where it will land, probably somewhere in Europe. They are capable of doing them and have done them in the past for testing and research of things, but every picture I see claiming chem trails is just contrails.
Cloud seeding is real though. But it happens in smaller planes at lower altitudes where clouds already exists. I'm pretty sure it's caused multiple heavy floods and is likely being used to create weather events for propaganda(they are used that way either way). It makes clouds drop their moisture in an area and if overdone - huge floods.
That's what caused the Dubai flood. Probably human error though rather than trying to make it happen.

All of this shite if funny to me. My best friend since high school all of a sudden turned into one of these conspiracy guys that thinks they can find the answers on the internet. Some of the theories are outrageous. My favorite one is that a plane did not fly into the Pentagon. It was a bomb and the plane was a hologram. The bomb was put there by the US government.

Do you still hang out with him despite the disturbing change

Indeed I do and we have some very interesting conversations.

I love conspiracies and have studied a lot of them to either confirm or debunk them. They are like advanced logic puzzles.
I think the missile theory on the pentagon has merit. I wouldn't say 100% because we only get the single view where the object is only visible in a single frame basically. But it's odd to me that the only video from one of the most secure locations on earth is from a nearby gas station. Seems like we'd easily have more video of such a thing.
Hologram and bomb though, that's a no. I wonder if he understands how holograms work.
This is what happens when people stop trusting government. They just start accepting conspiracies theories the way they previously accepted the official narratives.

My thing about these internet conspiracy theories is that when people talk about misinformation and false narratives to distract us from the truth, how do they know that the conspiracy they believe in isn't the distraction?
Example: People that say 9/11 was an inside job. How do we know that whole story isn't about hiding something even worse? Maybe they think that's a better story than admitting some people were just able to get a hold of planes with box cutters to kill thousands of people and change the United States forever? It just seems like a rabbit hole that goes on in circles forever.

Just critical thinking skills really. That's why I enjoy them. Things don't really work the way people think in the world, but that would take me a long time to explain.
So first, the "government" didn't do anything. Nobody voted for anything, nobody had a policy to do it, etc. At best it's people in positions being involved. Kind of like the government didn't kill Kennedy, but the CIA and intelligence agencies certainly did and the FBI and others certainly covered it up. Again, people within, there is no official policy for them.
And there likely were hijackers who hijacked the planes and did all that. That is how it works. You find crazy people and you enable them and allow them to carry out whatever it is they are doing. Probably what happened with the Butler assassination attempt as well. It's not that intelligence agencies or whatever hired the guy to do it, but rather enabled it. You get a patsy etc.
The hijackers were known, their plot was known and it was all allowed to happen. And the majority of the names they put on TV after weren't even correct, they weren't involved at all and some were still alive in other parts of the world.
Because it just so happens the military basically stood down that day because NORAD was magically doing training about planes being hijacked etc. Nearly the same scenario. And many other stars had to align for it to happen, even if you go by the official story only.
And so on. I have no doubt the towers were brought down by controlled demolition and WT7 is the smoking gun. There was more to the attack than the planes. The official story is a cover up and defies physics. In the UK, they announced WT7 fell 30 minutes before it happened.
It's a classic false flag that has been used for the country to spend trillions over seas on bullshite wars and so forth. But there are also a lot of bullshite theories out there like energy weapons etc, that are designed to help cover up the truth and to discredit. It's hard as frick to wade through the truth.
TLDR: Elements of intelligence agencies of the US/Israel did that shite to get Americans to support spending trillions of dollars on overseas wars. It's what has resulted in all the inflation and struggling our country feels today because there is no such thing as an unbalanced budget. And that's what people are really afraid to face.
But then, flat earth is easy to debunk, we landed on the moon. Chemtrails are contrails. I can debunk all of these easily.

so you really think those two buildings fell perfectly the way an engineering dynamite demolition crew would have them fall?

In spite of multiple witnesses that watched a plane hit the Pentagon?
My daughter being one of them?
The sheer stupidity of the conspiracy crowd makes laughable.

Eye witness reports are one of the most unreliable sources of information.

That’s what the government does. Flood the zone with crazy conspiracies so you don’t know what’s true and what isn’t. That’s why my conspiracy theory is that Alex Jones and Q Anon are feds. Sprinkle in some truth surrounded by other, easily debunked wild conspiracies to discredit the few true ones
