Despite the utter dismantling of their team on the field. Despite their own fans chanting quite audibly over the broadcast Fire Kelly. Despite that man with the sign. Despite their stadium emptied out save for the opposing fans. Despite creating a damned recruiting video for the Aggies.

Despite all of that, Brian Kelly had an off ramp to maintain his job. As crazy as it sounds, Kelly just had to be the good soldier and he is still the LSU head coach.

Kelly’s ego simply wouldn’t allow it and for that, LSU is very lucky. They are a year, maybe two, ahead of the same outcome.
