we do have a tendency are falling in love with coaches that have a breakout year.
Wouldn’t you rather a coach with sustained success? Especially in a time where you can flip rosters in a year.
Lea is having an amazing year but it’s his 5th year and he’s 23-34 and 8-28 in the SEC.
Also on Sirius yesterday people said Fran Brown at Syracuse should get a look. The guy just got blown out and is now 3-5.
I’m just saying are these now considered acceptable for becoming the highest paid coach in the country at a top five job? I just think Diego is one of those once in a generation players for Vandy and it wouldn’t surprise me if they were 7-5/6-6 next year.

Lotsa teams firing coaches and then sweating bullets over how to hire a better one right now.
