Can anyone explain this?

Probably over 90% of complaints are from fans who don't know the rule book themselves and/or they are just blind and bias because of their own team.
Probably another 5% or so are just missed calls or calls that are so close it can go either way. Like in the Oklahoma vs Auburn game there was that really bad missed PI call, but it was the ref just plain out did not see it.
It's that remaining 5% or so that is the problem. Some of them may be honest mistakes, but some of them just seem outright bullshite/rigged.

Jesus, how stupid are you people?
They are not bad. They are doing the exact job they are told to do and call certain games certain ways.
Why do you think a crew can be awful nearly every single week yet still have a job? It's b/c they are just following orders.

Corrupt officials are not indigenous to one conference. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. If they actually held the refs accountable, there’s simply more idiots to fill in the void wearing zebra costumes
