Hearing that if you fire a coach before Game 5, the portal opens for the players. So, maybe Stricklin is waiting until then to fire Billy.

I think it's BS mostly myself. All the decent or better players have NIL deals that they would lose money if they left before the final game. I do think some guys already missing time may try and save a year by medical redshirting though which is easy to do.

Yeah, I am not sure how it would work in practice. We are well past drop add, so I don't think they can do it from an academic perspective. Most teams they would want to transfer too don't have scholarships available, so I am not sure how it would work with that either. Seems like the only thing they could do is opt out and sit out, but like Gator Fever said, they would lose money from NIL.
