Looking into these new national title claims by Auburn and three of them may be the worst

claims among all teams in the SEC.
First, understand that the NCAA recognized several different selectors (polls or some kind of rating system) for each season. As bad as Alabama's 1941 claim is or Tennessee's 1967 claim is, both are listed in that record book for that year as being selected as a champion by one of their selectors.
1. 1958- This may be the worst claim. Auburn claims this title based on the Montgomery Full Season Championship selector. The NCAA doesn't recognize it and never has. Auburn has never been listed as a champion of this season by the NCAA record book. What makes it worse is they finished with a tie and were not even the SEC champs as LSU went unblemished that year and won the national title (AP and UPI) and SEC title.
2. 1914- There is no NCAA recognized selector claiming Auburn as national champs. James Howell's computer rating system that began in the late 90's names Auburn as champion. It is not now, nor has it ever been recognized by the NCAA. Auburn has never been listed as a champion in the NCAA record book for this year.
3. 1910- Auburn was only named national champ in the Billingsley Report. Unlike other mathematical formulas to determine the national champ, this one was not created by a mathematician or statistician. Billingsley was just a fan who later became a pastor. He started this list in the sixties as a hobby while a student at bible college. The NCAA first recognized the BR as a selector in 1996. Auburn was only printed as champion in the NCAA record books from 1996-1999 under Billingsley's original formula. Billingsley's formula has been altered three times since and none of those times did Billingsley's formula have Auburn as the best team. If you look at an updated NCAA record book, Auburn will not be listed as a national champion for this year. If you look at an NCAA record book pre 1996, Auburn will not be listed as a champion for this year.

How is this dude always so completely wrong, about everything, all the time? Obviously the worst claim is 2004. All of these new claims are bad, but we had an established playoff in 2004, Auburn wasn’t good enough to make it into the field, and now they won a title because….reasons?

1. There's no such thing as a two team playoff.
2. That one would be in the conversation for sure as they are not listed in any NCAA record book as champion. I will say that being no. 2 and having the championship vacated is at least, well, something. Maybe no. 3. of the four. The Billingsley one at least was in the NCAA record book for three years.

Auburn’s gone from somewhat sleezy underachievers to absolutely laughingstock stupid.

You’re still on this? Get help brother. You need a hobby. Get outside. Introduce yourself to a few neighbors. Life will be better if you let go of your envy over Auburn’s 9 titles.

Uga will never have more National championships than Auburn in your lifetime. Deal with it bitch!

It's fricking pathetic and their posters are just doubling down on it instead of calling a spade a spade.

We don't care if you laugh. Your laughter does not mean what you did isn't freaking hilarious.
