1. The NCs by LSU and UF over Ohio St. are equally impressive. Ohio State had the one big run to start the game and then it was all LSU the rest of the game. The most of the other Ohio St. scores were garbage.

2.Miles getting nice recruits coming in was nice, but it doesn't mean much to anything for success on the field. He had to coach to win a NC and win 4 bowl games impressively in 4 years. The key to LSU's success is keeping the in state talent. I know Saban was the first to really lock it down in recent memory, but I am not going to call him a genius. Anyone with half a brain for a coach would have figured out the same thing. I guess we finally started hiring coaches with brains when we hired Saban. We can fix the damn basketball team by basically doing the same thing as football. Lock down the local talent. The top six players from the final four team lived within probably 40 miles of each other in HS. That team also could have had Brandon Bass(BR) had he not been an idiot and left early.

3.The only other coach worthy to be in the discussion with Meyer is Spurrier. Spurrier won at Duke! Then he built UF. Zook did not undue everything Spurrier did. Did UF even have a real history until Spurrier got there?

3.Saban, Miles, and Richt are the only SEC coaches in the next tier. They all have flaws and ranking one of the other is purely debatable.

4. Nutt beating Miles does not prove he is a way better coach. If you really think the Arkansas-LSU 2007 win was a miracle you are an idiot. He had two NFL first rounders at RB and the #1 NFL FB prospect. You should win NCs with that kind of talent. That is why he sucks. He was at a big program forever and did nothing.

Again I will state Meyer is #1, but I still like Spurrier. If they were the same age and I got to choose one as my coach I would go with Spurrier.

Spurrier would have won a NC with all three of the last three SEC NC teams. If he would have coached the 2006 LSU team he would have went undefeated and won a NC though.

The fact that you think Spurrier is still on par with Meyer makes me discount your opinion.
