4* LB Tana Patrick's girlfriend just received the Nick Saban Foundation Scholarship to Alabama. It is for a full ride. Can someone tell me how this is not a recruiting violation? This is bribery at its finest. I am sure she applied like the rest of the applicants but it is not coincidental that she got it.

Why should I? I tend to dismiss the ramblings of idiots.

ETA: I know he donated 1,000,000 to a scholarship fund, but at this point I am guessing it is a general fund, seeing as how according to the Bama website no such thing as the Nick Saban Foundation Scholarship exists.

The Nick Saban scholarship is for kids that will be the first ones in their family to ever attend college. He and Mrs. Saban give a million dollars a year back to the university for this scholarship. All schools do somethng like this it is just that our coach does it out of his own pocket because he is such a magnificent humanitarian.

God bless he and Mrs Saban for their kindness!!

You are not affiliated with the University of Alabama.

I would (halfway) take your word concering Auburn matters, but I call bullshite on this until you can provide concrete information.

The only scholarship that the university has that is for family-first students is the Coca-Cola First Generation Scholarship Program.

Other scholarships offered by the University (can't be sure about departmental) are:

National Merit, etc.
Academic Elite
Alumni Assocation
In-state-scholarship
Out-of-state-scholarship
Alumni Heritage
Alumni Scholar

I don't know...is she the first in her family to go to college?
What's her GPA and test scores?
I think that is more important to the situation than her relationship to Tana.

And Auburn is going to cheat to try and beat him and they will be on probation again soon. I think they have been on probation more than any team in the country.
