Kinda late but wanted to say nice game against UConn. Wife and I were driving around the countryside in Texas and listening on the radio, pulling for you guys. That game looked like it wasn't gonna pan out for ya, but what a great finish.
One of those deals where I felt a little better after we lost to them, the way they stuck with you and led much of the game. Anyway, hope you enjoyed the corny post!

Thanks. I was rooting for you guys because I knew UConn would be tough. Nerveracking game. I felt Hurley outcoached Golden. The pace played right into UConn. I’m not sure why he didn’t speed the game up until late. If he does the same thing vs Maryland, we will most likely go home. UF needs to play fast and wear Maryland out.

Thanks! I was in Raleigh and got to interact with some Sooner fans. Good group of guys. I was pulling for you guys Friday night.

Yeah that UConn has a ton of talent, but Hurley just couldn't get the most out of them for whatever reason. They gave us a run and we were fortunate to win. That is the tournament. One slip up and you are toast.

Cool. Does he play sports or just looking at academics?

One cousin in the NBA, another cousin 5 star going to a blue blood, one and done and a 4 star cousin still deciding. While my son will be academics, Mechanical Engineering. Haha.

Lol on all the athletes.
Well in any case I wish your son luck wherever he decides to go.

He’s the only boy in both my wife and my family who won’t be playing college football or basketball. That’s tough…. I’ve been to a lot of college campuses and I tell you, OU’s campus is one of the best. Loads of history, interesting architecture, gorgeous grounds and totally clean. Not overcrowded like most big schools. Students very friendly and smart. Several of my friends kids go there from Houston and they all love it. I might have to buy an OU tshirt. Dammit.

Its also close enough to OKC for real fun stuff yet far enough away. I hope as the overall metro grows OU can keep that home town feel.
They are going to build a north/south turnpike spur route on the east side of Norman (from I-40 and south) and that will spur growth and traffic once its built. And an east/west spur somewhere between Moore/Norman going from I-35 to I-44 and land somewhere in area of OKC airport.
Also, just up the road at I-35 and I-40 SE of downtown OKC, OKANA just opened.

We stayed in OKC for a couple days and we didn’t find much to do. We found some good restaurants but the city felt very small. There seemed more to see and do in Norman. We didn’t make it to Okana but stayed a couple nights at Winstar. First time my son was able to gamble since he turned 18. They didn’t even card him. Haha.
