I've never done drugs in my life (except some pot at times) (or, ETA: some douchebag friends once laced a joint with Angel Dust, and didn't tell me), but whiskey is "my cocaine." I can't control it. my depression has been worse in this holiday season than any other, because I'm sitting here watching my baby brother die. I'm basically his "home health nurse" at this point, and the entire situation is coming to a head. He's avoiding the doctors because he does not want to deal with the reality that they are trying to tell him.
It's going to kill me, figuratively, when it happens. I jump out of my shorts every time a 479 phone number is calling on my phone that I don't know.
So part or most of my drinking is that. His stroke was 6 years ago, rabbit hole since, and my worst drinking began during Covid because I got a 10 day vacation from work.
Don't care if I shared too much. Love all yall and trust you with my feelings.

I'll just relay what a recovering alcoholic told me a long time ago and it stuck with me....drinking is suicide on the installment plan.
